Baltimore by Night Discord Visitor Policy

Visitors are welcome to visit BBN Discord games.

Visiting players should send their character sheets to bbnsts@googlegroups.com by no later than 24 hours before game (typically 7:00 pm ET on the day before game).
  • Their home chronicle staff should be CC'd.
  • This lead time allows for BBN staff to review sheets and approve characters.
  • Sheets received after this deadline may be denied or delayed approval for entry into game.
  • A visiting character is not viable for play unless they receive confirmed permission from BBN staff. Simply sending in a character sheet and signing in does not alone permit a PC to play without permission.
  • Players not respectful of this policy or staff decisions regarding late sheets may be subject to disciplinary actions.
Visitors' coordination with staff to review/approve their sheets does not imply any IC approval or allowance to visit the Domain or to interact with other PCs. All IC coordination/interaction (i.e., hospitality, tolerance, etc.) must still be roleplayed out with appropriate PCs.
On specific occasions, staff may limit the number of visitors to a game if they deem that excessive numbers might be too distracting or complicating given planned activities or plot pursuit. If the decision is made to limit the number of visitors, then:
Staff will identify the number of visitors that are permitted
Visitors with an IC role or justification for the night's activities (e.g., plot involvement) are given priority (not just "I know someone IC and they invited me back")
All remaining slots up to the maximum number cited for the night will be granted on a first-come first-serve basis as sheets are approved.
